To buy any of this you have to ignore every instance of the best women's sports teams (oddly often the WNBA) getting absolutely stomped by fourth-list bottom of the barrel semi-pro male teams. Which happens every few years when the female teams get pissy that no one cares about them.

Hell, WNBA teams often practice against just regular old average joes who play basketball as a hobby because they are challenging enough to work as professional women's basketball practice.
