Ukraine did not exist prior to December 1917.The Russians (the Bolsheviks) did create Ukraine and almost all Ukrainians speak Russian.

I don't know how this makes the situation for Ukrainians any better. Yes, it does clear up suspicion that the entire Georgian Legion is screwed (perhaps Henry Hoeft was talking about a different base), but the fact that supply chains are getting fucked is just another balls-in-your-face sign of air superiority on the other side. And it also doesn't change the fact that one of the guys in the video you linked did confirm that they were being forced to the front with no weapons or equipment.

Oh, and yes, in case this hasn't been posted before, the American talking about the Georgian Legion base getting fucked is named "Henry Hoeft".

Really weird line of logic right there. The US speaks mainly English, but didn’t become separated until the Revolutionary War. Then the War of 1812 happened by the British to try and reclaim the colonies. By this line of thinking, the Brits could come back again to reclaim what they lost, because they are culturally similar.

That said, I really don’t want to die for Ukraine, nor do I like the Uke government. Russia’s isn’t much better, but Slavs fighting isn’t worth starting a world war over.
