Looks like they also took Cinnamon's redline and fixed the horrid tongue anatomy in both the adopt above and the gift art Adiago did for Chibi. Looks a lot more streamlined.

The (broken as hell) posture of the new drake adoptables immediately reminded me of those the new simple chibi references Shinerai has been doing of her dragon OCs lately, in terms of style and pose.

These are not direct traces obviously, and you can't trademark a pose, especially not one this simplified. Still, the timing of Shin uploading the first of these references (in Sept 2021 I think?) to Trish suddenly dropping her drake base in a knockoff style is a bit too coincidental.

I read through the new ToS Chibi linked to in the description and Trish is even crazier about her terms than before. She’s also implying in that first blurb that she’ll be doing adopts of other species besides abyss drakes and they’ll be getting their own ToS. Can’t wait to see those.

Rules as of 2022
Original species/personal species design TOS:
1. Buyers of rift drakes, veils, abyss drakes or other creatures residing in my world 'Emain' are restricted to the rules of that world. In emain only males and females exist. (abyss can be androgyns--basically a reptilian "cboy") Rules regarding other species from other universes of mine will be stated in individual adoption listings.

2. Buyers right for personal species adoptables are as follows, nonprofit only.

3. You may not use my species in any commercial work such as novels, manga, comics, anime, cartoons, etc. Private and public (free) versions of all of these are 100% OK.

4. Credit must be given on each submission featuring the character. Credit is as follows- If purchasing an original species: Species-name©Abyssdrakes/spacedrakes. link to the creators personal sites is required, either patreon or Twitter works. This includes artists who draw the character, it is the same credit given to Mick39 for ownership of the Sergal species.

5. reference/full detail sheets can ONLY be done by the species creator: https://www.patreon.com/Spacedrakes / twitter.com/abyssdrakes all other art or personal merch can be purchased from any artist.

6. Adoptables made by chibi5 are created following the guidelines of the creator and with Adi's sole permission. Chibi5 is the ONLY other person allowed to sell Abyss Drakes.

7. You may not resell or trade your drake once purchased. This rule has been in place since 2009 when Adiago began making the Veil species public. To keep track of drakes better, sale and trade is prohibited. Special cases may be allowed but require contacting "Abyssdrakes" on Twitter or Spacedrakes on patreon first.

8. No hyper or crazy genitals, no herms or taurs. Full nude refs can be purchased by AbyssDrakes/Spacedrakes on Patreon which include genitals.

9.No edits to an adoptable may be made by anyone other than the species creator OR adoptable maker(chibi5)


A note on gender options: male and female are self explanatory.
*Androgyn's are abyss drakes hatched from faulty incubation. like all reptiles, drakes require stable temperatures for incubation. An androgyn is what happens when temps go from warm to a period of too cold. Drake eggs are much like gators, certain Temps guarantee a specific sex. When an egg is incubating and the fetus is developing as male, a cold spell during incubation can cause genetic code to freeze and never activate. this results in a high sterility rate and a drake with a slender frame, female genitals and a masculine torso/body. they may have the ability to breed as a female, but that's an extremely small percentage of the population of androgyns. They are EXTREMELY hated upon by their own species and are almost always culled at birth. an androgyn would NEVER reveal in public or to a strange drake that they had the "affliction" of being born "wrong". Androgyns are also incapable of building body mass of either males or females and are always on the scrawny side.

I have no doubt the new rules are influenced by her slap fights with Raven, specifically the ones stating that not only is she the only one allowed to make reference sheets, but nobody is allowed to make any edits to their drakes for any reason, and nobody is allowed to resell or trade their designs. Raven commissioned several reference sheets that were much better than anything Trish put out, and had edits done then like the infamous “white” color change.

I feel like I remember her saying she repo’d and sold Raven’s drake, and there being drama about that. I can’t figure out if she fully repo’d Meg’s drake, she made it sound like she did with the DMCA of his FA uploads and the shit fit she threw when Raven made Meg that new cat fursona, but she also has said something about Alaric not being hers in the various reuploads she’s done on her art account involving him. So that’s at least one, possibly two more drakes that she’s repossessed for petty reasons than she wants to admit.

For some reason it's not letting me quote Cinnamon's most recent post, but according to some old screenshots from earlier in this thread Eclipse was actually sold by Crimson herself (there was even a trade listing on Toyhouse but I think the character's either deleted or private now.) and her ex Exterio was also trying to sell Orion.

Appears Ravens has silently rehomed Eclipse to an anonymous user, probably for good reasons. Let's hope that person never shows up with any type of Eclipse art because that'll pass the burning Adiago torch off to that person.

The fact that Crimson sold Eclipse herself makes it even more fucked up that years after the fact Trish had wrote on her Weasyl that Ezreal x Alaric's children ate her face off even when she no longer owns the drake.

Trish is slowly uploading art to this new art site, and retconning even more of her previous drake "canon" for her books to reflect the falling outs she's had with her friends. Most notably, Raven's drake OC. If I recall, Eclipse was the medic on Ezrael's ship and the one that fixed Ezrael up after she ripped the collar off post-Firefox breakup. There's mention of Megalo's drakesona there too but we've already established that she rewrites her boyfriend's drakes to be shitty once she breaks up with them. She shouldn't write her friends' OCs into her works if she has to do something like this every time she dropkicks them out of her life. I can't imagine how many alleged drafts she's gone through with all the drama she get herself into.

I think most of the group except for TheMegalo sold off or privated their drakes after the fall out/ switching to other block headed drake species because Crimson's ex Hiro no longer has his posted and instead has a one by Koachella and Ivenvorry's drake Persi was also nuked.

That ruling is extremely unlikely to be enforced without heavy pushback towards anyone, especially in the furry fandom wherein a lot of furries don't even like Protogen for having rules in certain areas. Combine that with the fact that a lot of furries are coming out as Trans/Non-Binary and this is a shitstorm waiting to happen.

My best guess is that the "*Not Trans" spiel kind of got Chibi targeted by FA Moderators/Admins, and the fact that the moderator team believe that she's trying to help Trish ban evade essentially made the FA Mods tell Chibi5 to fuck off.

It looks less dead-eyed than the base Chibi had to work with but still not good based on what's visible. I can't tell if she's going for chibi or "young" or what. It looks like a gross mash of the two, "alien anatomy" isn't a good enough excuse. I did a shitty trace-over and resized the proportions/made the eyes bigger just to see how much of a difference there would be and just how weird the original's proportions looked next to them. I could go in either direction so I did.

She's done chibi drake stuff before that didn't look nearly as broken. She's probably holding back on quality as per usual with her art intended for others and not herself.
