It's really funny and completely betrays the idea that naming a Pokemon as a reward is the goal of tipping. Because of course if that is the goal, it makes perfect sense to snipe the naming rights at the last moment, like sniping an eBay auction.

The true goal of tipping is Phil getting munny and not having to wait!
He should just hold an auction for the naming rights everytime a Pokémon is caught

Honestly, if Phil wants to maximize and ensure he gets money from a bunch of idiots he should sell the Pokemon names in tiers.
For example:
$10 = Name one random pokemon
$20 = You pick a pokemon to name
$50 = You pick a pokemon for him to use for the stream
$100 = Release a pokemon into the wild
$150 = Pick an entire team of pokemon to use for a stream and change the name of 2 pokemon.
Top Tipper = Gets to change a name of a pokemon of their choice next stream, choose a pokemon to use next stream, and chooses a pokemon they would like Phil to catch next stream.

This way people don't wait until the end of the stream to snipe the name, like someone mentioned here, such as an ebay auction. Plus, those you can't donate large amounts can at least donate small amounts to get some sort of reward and feel inclusive to the stream.

But instead he just creates this bidding war with a handful of people who wait until the last minute to bid. This makes his streams seem like he isn't getting money which bothers Phil. So if you are reading this Pigroach just create a tier system where naming pokemon can become accessible to everyone regardless if you are the big tipper of the night. Also this tier system can be used for other games too.

Also before you say this is dumb and won't work, I have seen other streamers (small and large ones) use this sort of tier system in pokemon games, usually for charity streams, and it works.

Why the fuck does he think its cool to have these company meetings in the prestream where he talks about the stats of DSPgaming? Why is he acting like his audience are his legit employees? " We need more members (We're understaffed). We lost a member (we have huge turn around). We need more likes (We HAVE to hit these goals every stream.) Alright lets ban this idiot (we need to terminate this employee)."
Huh. Fancy that. A job where the employees have to pay the boss. Burnell Productions is really something.

$100 = Release a pokemon into the wild
Oh I would fucking love to see pigroach pull this shit. It would play out exactly like you'd expect:

Whale pays the $100, asks Phil to release a pokemon.
Phil goes through all the menus to release it, and then at the last minute, strokefaces at the camera and says "Ummmm, no!" with some excuse why he can't release the pokemon.
Phil pockets the $100 and retcons having ever received it in exchange for releasing a pokemon.
The same whale returns with another tip within 5 stream days or less, because pigroach whales never truly learn or leave.
Repeat.

I think the dents actually like it. They can't hold a real job so instead they get to larp during Phil's daily shareholder meeting

Fixed. Soundin like a fuckin detractor out to hurt him and his family with this talk. Listen, Top Tipper gets to name a specific Pokemon next stream when they will totally come around once a week now because he can't keep playing this game he totally loves. He loves this game so much, he sometimes doesn't know the bee pokemon is called Beedrill, or how normal attacks do not hurt ghost types.

So, guys, listen. If you really want to keep seeing pokemon, and like the content, please support the stream. None of this dilly dally ranked drip feeding $10 tips with arbitrary goals because that's way too much work. So please *clap* like the channel, subscribe, become a member, tell your family about the stream, leave a comment, check my patreon, superchat, email me game credits please support the channel, tips help the most right now.

This gets asked a lot. I firmly believe he had a cult land right into his lap just like his Youtube success. It feels like it just came naturally given his personality and characteristics seem pretty similar to what a cult leader is like. I do not know if he is aware/noticed this, was his plan or it just happened and think it's totally normal for streamers with a fanbase

Phil is just horrible at Pokemon and it's a game for children and autists.

Can't pronounce the names right. Tan-gee-la. Dude it's a tangle of vines. Tangle is in the name. It's a pun. A letter A pokemon? What the hell's that thing? Unown has only been in pokemon since the second game. How does he say it? You-known.

Doesn't know the simplest of mechanics. Fish pokemon? Phil fights it with fire. Ground pokemon? Phil uses plant type. Electric type? Phil tries to stun it with electricity.

Phil comes to a vertical cliff. Does he look for a path up there? No. He tries to walk up the 90 degree cliff for 5 minutes while yelling that he can't get up there. It's impossible.

He loves the game though. Huge fan.

He is dumber than Ash in the anime

Because they are.

One guy took off work just to watch and donate to him because he said trolls are laughing at his low stream tip donations and need to get donations.

It would absolutely work, but the fact you have 5 tiers for him to pay attention to... will never work. Too much work for him. He wants to get money the laziest way possible... and the fact that the strategy of tipping at the very in end of his stream just to to make everyone else waste money just to donate at the last minute to get the "reward" is very concerning and idiotic. People need to donate all throughout the stream. Period.

One thing I did want to comment on that did suprisingly irritated me, even though he rarely does. But the fact that i use to work these shifts and he calls him self a blue collar worker its justified:

Millions of Americans work 8 hours a day with a 30 minute lunch break every single day, and they are not sitting on their asses playing a video game the whole time... but for some reason.. this is impossible for Phil. The BLUE COLLAR LIVE STREAMER btw.

Millions of Americans do the work schedule that guy suggested and they do it while having to leave their house and their refrigerator isn't a downstairs walk away. It wouldn't kill him, but he's so lazy he calls the guy an idiot and says its impossible despite millions of Americans doing it day after day after day.

This is how disjointed with reality he is. A common work schedule would kill him.

Not to mention he's said he would open a restaurant if he had enough money. One of the hardest business to operate.

Not only does he talk out of his ass but he's delusional to the point of insanity. I guess that's what happens when you're a complete shut-in and too toxic to even make friends ONLINE.

What Phil calls 'work' most of us do to relax after coming home from work.

Imagine playing video games all fucking day and saying you need to unwind.

I mean on one hand I get it, there's the saying that if you work in a chocolate factory the last thing you wanna see when you get home is a bar of chocolate. Phil however doesn't hate all games, just like 99% of them. He is also his own boss, it's ridiculous how much of a slave of his own schedule and streaming style (muh variety gayming streamer) he is when he can change all aspects of his "business" any time he wills it. He could just become a mobile game streamer overnight, those guys exist on Youtube and Twitch and all over, it's clear the only thing he cares about in vidya is spinning that gambling wheel to see what he'll get, it's the only way his brain can get dopamine besides devouring disgusting greasy chemically-enhanced slop from fast food restaurants. Not to mention even the most bottom of the barrel mobile game streamers and Youtubers usually get free pulls for mobile games, especially if they focus on a few of them, and they get better odds in those free pulls too.

So ive been thinking, considering Lost Ark is coming out, will Dsp ever play an MMO again? Im aware of the whole warcraft fiasco, but begs the question. Can there be a point where he would play one again(Hell he could make his guild Hate Army Kings of Retro and play with his members) Obviously the answer from me is no since an MMO requires commitment, something that he doesnt have. Would like to hear yall nudniks thoughts

Him having a constantly rotating team is going to fuck him so hard in the end game. He's going to have to do a ton of grinding unless he bored quits, which he will. I guarantee he doesn't go past the first "ending".

This should be fun for him, cause then his fans can finally literally carry him through all the content, shield him from the evil trolls (maybe even with legendary mounts like chairs with wheels attached to them).
He could turn off chat so that he doesn’t need to interact with detractors (and more so his fan base), and just stand around while others clear the content for him. Sounds like a dream come true if you ask me.
In addition he could add a very positive, interactive addition to his streams besides an arbitrary tips goal, an arbitrary members goal, an arbitrary likes goal, we now have now an arbitrary gold goal.
Something new and fresh and interactive like give him 500 gold in game and he wears an ingame hat? But that may be to crazy and interactive…
