Final Fantasy XIV - Kiwi Free Company

For most players, the dungeon experience is roughly 70% of the game - so if a tank performs badly in dungeons, it's very noticeable.

DRK is great but a little extra self-sustain wouldn't be a bad thing. You could even bake it into some of the Darkside only attacks and have it scale similar to Warrior's (which is healing per target hit, meaning it's much better in dungeon pulls than single raid bosses).
Whats funny is that in PVP, Delirium uses Nascent Flash's lifesteal and if you get a big group and spam quietus in a blob you can end up being unkillable, i think even if its kinda derivative of PLD and WAR's new charge move effects it would be great if either the blood moves or blood weapon also got lifesteal, atleast during delirium or some shit

The Oceanic Server, Materia, has 5 incoming servers:
- Bismarck
- Ravana
- Sephirot
- Sophia
- Zurvan.

Looks like Ravana is going to be the main one, while Sophia is the main rp one. Everything else is smaller.

Well, I'm still plugging along at Heavensward. Will likely be able to finish up 3.0 and start 3.1 tomorrow unless there are huge narrative dumps at the end like ARR.

I haven't been doing anything other than the MSQ. I quit doing beast quest dailies because I have less time to play now. Haven't fucked with land or hand at all since starting HW. Story is okay I guess. My complaints remain the same. Wonky leveling and gear curves, and the inherent trappings of an MMO sometimes don't mesh well with the story which drives me up a wall (e.g. being able to freely walk around Ul'dah while everyone thought you had assassinated the monarch).

I think I'm going to focus on leveling some new jobs. Monk is getting boring.

Everyone has their preferences, but I cannot recommend Red Mage enough. It's consistently designed so well that considering how often they do dumb shit to core job concepts I suspect it was an accident. It has several quirks to it that sound overwhelming at first (Dualcast, Black/White mana, procs and skills you can use to force/fish for them, melee combo, finisher, party buffs, an actually okay heal spell, rezzes out the ass), but its intended flow is so intuitive that you don't need to go look up some 5head raidtranny guide to play it "correctly". It's strong, it's got enough pseudorandomness in its proc luck that the rotation doesn't feel as godawful one-note as, say, Dragoon, you can feel the skill iceberg underneath you as you stare at using Accelerate and Swiftcast to dick around with your long casts, etc etc. It's really an S-tier class, and got even better in Endwalker because it now outputs relatively high damage for how flexible its toolkit is.

/RDM sales pitch off

Not sure if you know about this. If you talk to some certain NPCs, they actually don't believe the news that you did the bad thing, like the Lalafell inkeeper in Uldah. About not all guards actively deny your entrance nor arrest you, lets say Uldah politics for now is complicated. I'm sure Zeke will do this part explanation better than me.

About leveling and gear curve, you're pretty much gonna be overlevel while gear quests are kinda meh, not enough to keep you up. Unless, you want to rerun dungeons multiple times to keep your gear score up properly for the next dungeon.
That's why using Poetics tomestone for special gears will help you entire expansion for its level range (HW 51-60, SB 61-70 and so on). If you're playing multiple classes, it's best to play classes with similar roles, for sharing gears except weapons. Like Fending for Tanks, Casting for "Mages", Aiming for Ranged DPS and Healing, well... Only melee DPSes are a bit complicated, Striking for Monk and Sam, Maiming for Dragoon and Scouting for Ninja.
Yes, I understand doing daily Castrum roulette can be mindnumbly boring and worse with dreadful The Praetorium one.
I can't recommend any DPS classes, since I've only touched Tanks and Healers. But then again, if I think about level range, classes only getting way more interesting at level 60, maybe 70ish for some. Like DRK is miserable leveling/playing when below 72.

You didn't fully pay attention to what happened in the aftermath and what was explained shortly after rescuing Raubahn, which is normal as many people don't seem to fully get what happened and take it too much at face value (like the "Why don't I just pull out my weapon and fight everyone" complaint, when the text prior stated you handed over your weapon). Let me run it down for you.

After the "assassination", the only people that know were the small handful of people in the banquet and most just fucked off screaming when Raubahn went apeshit.

Their are hints out of the MSQ if you talk to NPCs (basically most NPCs in Ul'dah, NPCs in Mor Dhona, and a few other spots) where effectively you get one of three responses "So I heard a rumor that...but that's just speculation", "I heard you did it...but I won't do anything to you because you'll kick my ass", and "I don't believe you did it". The MSQ itself more or less aligns with this same implication, the key phrasing is that nothing is OFFICIALLY said. It is all heresays, speculation, and rumors. Why has the Syndicate not reported on this? Even Fake News(tm) would publish this story regardless of anything, yet nothing is actually going on beyond gossip. This would be AMAZING for them if we go off of what Telediji wanted. Except Telediji is dead and Lolorito is running the show.

Telediji is the outlier here, all the Syndicate cares about is profitable stability ultimately, and over throwing the monarch and causing a colossal clusterfuck on a local and national level is not profitably stable. Lolorito effectively orchestrated everything so Raubahn killed Telediji, and ultimately ensured that the only major change is Telediji's death. Literally everything else goes back to normal pretty much, which is exactly as Lolorito intended after he realized what Telediji would do. To maintain stability Lolorito suppressed the news, and effectively put life back the way it was. Telediji is just a power hungry jackass that wants to dig up a super weapon, he does not represent the Syndicate who ultimately conspired against him lead by Lolorito's actions against Telediji's plan.

Lolorito set all this up just to kill Telediji without actually doing it himself, for if he was caught in such a plot stability would be disrupted. In this way, Raubahn is the only one who got in any real trouble but Lolorito effectively pulled strings to get him and the Scions off the hook, so effectively nothing happens. That's why you can just wander around, because only a small handful of people know what happened and even fewer know what actually happened, and those that are against you are afraid of you.

That's why Namano isn't dead, Lolorito effectively put her in a coma that Telediji thought was his poison which exposed Telediji's hand because Telediji is a cocky dumbass. Lolorito played literally everyone and got Telediji's assets out of the bargin. If Raubahn didn't try to kill Lolorito and set off a chaotic series of events, he wouldn't have lost his arm. Everyone would have probably just been silently released with no trial and founded innocent, but Raubahn had to go apeshit and fuck that peaceful resolution and Ilberd went rogue due to him not liking Lolorito's plan.

The MMO issues do crop up with creating problems within the narrative, but this is not one of those times.

DRK didn't get changed.

Hell yeah dude Dark Knights keep rockin'
Neither did AST which probably needs more then Dark Knight because redraw sucks ass right now.

Square Enix fixes things eventually by the last year or so of the expansions things are generally fixed, but that doesn't mean they're fixed timely. See ShB Ninja, ShB Monk, HW Ast, SB Whm, SB Black Mage/Samurai, HW Casters for examples of SE taking multiple patches to fix the job's numbers/design problems or never fixing the jobs until the next expansion.

But don't worry, they buffed Tomahawk

No wonder FFXIV content creation sucks; if you can't do anything creative, just leech off of someone more creative than you.
React shit like this is just a youtuber thing in general, it is basically a free video for the daily algorithm shilling that every youtuber tries to do to stay relevant, because Youtube as a platform is horrible place to produce quality if you want to keep your sanity long term unless you fully upload for fun. You can find this just about anywhere.

Their is some react content worth watching, but usually it is like "Historian reacts to an Oversimplified history video" or "Hunters reacts to hunting in video games" where it becomes more about someone with actual experience in a profession trying to share their expertise in a more laymen's space that people can better understand.

I tried this game out some years ago. I created one of those big ugly bitches (because all the other races were faggy animefaces) and got invited to a big ugly bitch only company or whatever (apparently almost nobody played this combination of race and gender so they had their own little gay club).
These niggas were mentally ill, they'd sit on a bench in that mediterranean looking city and just talk shit 15 hours a day. They would literally freak the fuck out that someone was on "their bench". They even had Instagram accounts for their chars and posted fucking selfies and shit. Their general behavior was similar to tranny subcultures you see online today, narcissistic and weird.

Game was okay as far as MMOs go, too much story content though. Who the fucks plays MMOs for the story?

Stories and setting are important to MMOs because they provide context for your actions in the world.

I feel like this idea of 'lol who cares about story in an MMO' is a side-effect of WoW brainrot. Even old-ass MMOs like Everquest and Ultima Online had overarching stories that people paid attention to.
