US Joe Biden News Megathread - The Other Biden Derangement Syndrome Thread (with a side order of Fauci Derangement Syndrome)

Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? Does he even have a running mate yet?

I'll be honest, I don't really care either way about Ukraine. Biden just said something really dumb and that's the reason to comment on it in, y'know, the Biden News Thread.

But you know, just keep commenting on that one guy.
Like HHH, these people like to come in here calling us Trump cultists, when they're the only people discussing Trump or mentioning his name and how much he sucks; in a Joe Biden thread of all places.

This is what progressive ideology leads to - it was literally created to cripple organizations.
To add to this, "woke" as we know it today grew out of the progressive stack at Occupy Wall Street.

At the time, OWS was a movement that started up because of the very real anger people felt towards the banks as a result of them screwing everyone over. It was a popular movement and I genuinely believe that people feared it could have started a revolution. So, of course, the 0.01% funded concepts like the progressive stack and got the left to focus on social issues like gay marriage instead of actual economic issues that affect the average American. There is a reason people like AOC and Vaush, both of who think the left needs to focus on social issues first and foremost, get funded by the elites and why anyone who genuinely wants to improve the lot of the working classes in the US gets cancelled and called a fascist; the first type of leftists are very good useful idiots for the 0.01%, and the second type could end up leading a revolution against the 0.01%.

In the 1960's, Jesse Jackson and Students for a Democratic Society (which later became the DSA) worked with an organisation called the Young Patriots that organised poor white Southerners and used the Confederate flag as a symbol. Can you imagine something like, say, the DSA and Nick Fuentes working together today? Of course you can't. The truth is that the left, like you said, has been crippled by progressive ideology and has been made to believe that any form of alliance, no matter how temporary, with social conservatives is le evil fascism. There are very few people who benefit from what shitlibs believe, and they sure as heck aren't the working people.

The Defeat the Mandates march in D.C. seems to be going alright so far. Crowd size seems to be in the thousands and I haven't seen anything about feds from Patriot Front or anywhere else showing up yet, hopefully that remains the case. Some D.C. residents were also driven into hysteria as the marchers walked to the Lincoln Memorial.

I never voted for him. Hell, I haven't voted since I was 20 and became disillusioned with the shitshow, and I'm getting close to 40. I would have been content to never vote again. But you can be sure I will if he runs again. Spite is a helluva thing.

Tell me how Hillary Clinton would've gotten us in war with Russia.
She called for the US to bomb Syrian oil fields, she was a proponent for arming anti-Assad rebels, she wanted to set up a no-fly zone in Syria. There were Russians in Syria helping Assad, one way they were helping him was by supplying air power.

The Russians were supporting the Pro-Assad forces and US was supporting the opposition forces. If Hilary had her way and we set up a no-fly zone in Syria that could have resulted in the US firing on Russian aircraft.
Does Russia have stake on Syria?
The Russian naval facility in Syria is the only naval facility that Russia has in the Mediterranean.

To this day I still can't believe that these people unironically act this way in public.

How do you not stop in the middle of your shitfit and go "... jesus fuck I'm making a complete ass of myself, I should stop this immediately." My face is red from second-hand embarassment and I'm not even over there.

word. I was never really a huge Trump guy in the beginning (i voted for Johnson in 2016) but the guy genuinely cares about the American people, and loves this country. The fact that the Left hates him for that convinced me to vote for him in 2020, and will vote for him again in 2024 if DeSantis doesn't run.

If you'll note, she's actually recording herself doing this, presumably with the intention of putting it online for the world to see. The lunatic spectacle is the point.

I've said it before, abortion is the Republican version of gun control. Pushing gun control was one of the Dems' biggest strategic mistakes, because for people who support gun control, it's at best the 6th or 7th issue they vote on. They won't fail to turn out because a Dem candidate isn't doing enough on gun control. Meanwhile, for people who support gun rights it's often the 1st or 2nd issue, and they'll fight like hell against anyone who's against gun rights.

Most people who oppose abortion are voting Republican for a swath of other issues as well. They won't fail to turn out because a GOP candidate doesn't do enough about abortion. The people who support abortion rights will not only vote but donate and volunteer for the opponent of someone who legislates against it. If Roe gets overturned and all the states on that map ban it that's one of the things that could really swing the tide for the Dems even as disastrous as Joe's presidency has been.

Like you said, dismantling CRT and putting sane criminal justice policies in place are easy political wins. Much better to focus on those than abortion.
It's hard to compare gun and abortion rights. They are not equal.

The right to keep and bear weapons, armor, and ammunition is a right that's actually written down as an expressed right. To exercise that right, there are a number of barriers. Licensing, fees, identity verification, testing, certification, fingerprint submission, storage requirements, transportation requirements, etc. Of all the things we consider to be an inalienable right, guns are the most regulated and prohibited.

Abortion is almost the exact opposite. It's not written down as a right. The constitution doesn't mention it. It is a privilege that 9 unelected people decided upon, and even then, their decisions were based on medical care and not abortion specifically. You aren't even allowed to ask a person if they are getting an abortion, or why they are getting one, as it is "an undue burden on the exercise of rights." There's not even another medical procedure that carries the same rights as a woman seeking abortion. You can't buy cough medicine in the United States without being federally tracked, but ask a woman to look at a picture of her baby before killing it and you're depriving them of a human right.

Abortion is the MOST protected activity a person can partake in while in the states. Gun ownership is a privilege that's constantly being eroded or having a price tag attached to it. Comparing the two only makes people that give a shit about human rights angry. You can't buy a cup of lemonade without government intervention, but getting a human life vacuumed out of you is the ultimate human right somehow.

Its not even that, at least for me. I honestly hate trump. I used to like him before he was a politician. But I feel he has, perhaps inadvertently, done most of the country grievous harm. Not through his politics. Not through his rallies. Not even through his Twitter. I'd accepted that people were idiots and get what they deserve when I'd stopped voting. But I never realized how much insanity was lurking under the surface, co-mingling with the stupid. That is the harm he did. He exposed the crazy. He turned half of the country into frothing-at-the-mouth retards (not just the lefties, don't get to exited, partisan hacks), and people I greatly cared about were caught up in it. And people we all cared about thought it was enough to destroy friendships and even families. And that is a story that has been repeated across this country with increasing frequency. And I'm still going to vote for him in 2024, because the ones who went that crazy are just that damned insufferable. Like I said, spite is a helluva thing. I don't expect anyone else to share my reasoning on this, and I don't give a fuck. What is it the twatter loonies say? Something about finding your own truth?

ETA: Also, I realize the media and the lies about trump did so much of the damage. Trump was just a catalyst.

I always love those brainless 'imagine if we regulated guns as much as we regulated muh vagina!' memes. Yeah, just try implementing a NICS check and a waiting period to get an abortion and you'd cause untold amounts of sped rage, to say nothing of everything else.

I think Vaclav was saying that opinions about abortion and gun control are of similar intensity in their respective political camps, rather than arguing that they are substantively alike. Having discussed the matter with several pro-abortion people before, I agree with that. They can definitely be foaming at the mouth zealots who will become extremely combative at any suggestion that access to abortion be limited. For certain voters, abortion is among their most important issues, if not THE most important. Very similar to how Second Amendment absolutists (myself included) feel about infringing on the right to bear arms.

It's honestly an ingenious scheme that successfully defused the movements demanding accountability to the people.

The meme of liberals going "wow! I tried buying a gun but it's so hard and I've not been able to go home with one for a week because of the shit I voted for i didn't know!" is not just a meme.

Tell me how Hillary Clinton would've gotten us in war with Russia.
She openly called for the U.S. putting up no fly zones in Syria, where Russia was already actively involved. Which means she wanted to create a situation where U.S. aircraft were shooting down Russian aircraft, which, guess what, means war with Russia.

And for what? So we could keep playing games trying to put up our own puppets in the fucking desert, even after we'd spent nearly two decades doing just that in Iraq even though it ended fucking disastrously for us and everyone else.
