i wish the ayylogs went at him being a trustfund grifter who gives generally awful advice to impressionable people. Though i'll be honest and that's a demographic that is desperate for identity and if not Hyde, will follow someone else. He keeps those half-his-age interns because they are easy to pay next to nothing on whatever star power he can muster in those minds, and they are probably yesmen to boot. Having rich parents doesn't invalidate life experiences good or bad, but its certainly something he'll hide in the general sleazecore stories of south coast car dealerships and societal underbelly of suburban New England. Which i think he's great at capturing to be honest despite being an outsider originally. This disconnect is probably also the experiences of the other two, who i know very little about besides Charls moved to LA and had a weird subtle redpill streaming channel but at the end of the day was playing video games like anyone else on twitch and the other runs an antique business.
I also take with a grain of salt any stories about World Peace. Sam always hyped that he had some killshot against the weird employees of Williams Street but never delivered anything beyond an anonymous recount of some degeneracy. I'm very much alone in this but world peace felt sanitized compared to a lot of his post mirror vids, pre WP content such as those Williamsburg interviews despite WP being much more intentionally provocative. Sam unlike many contentcows produced great things after this moment but continues to bring it up nonstop - The 100 episode run comments, the seething at Tim, who i'm sure hated Sam for being fresher and cheaper competition, etc.
Unlike his detractors whose vocab consists of scrote and little else I believe him to be very entertaining and funny in the right dosages and that helps prop him up to a similar position in my mind to musicians who had good output but were awful people. I wish he made more content about art school students like himself, his bits in Hydewars about timewasters and especially game dev majors were every bit hilarious as true.
This post is less positive than my last one because I really don't believe his camera ran out storage just as that Idubbz interview was getting spicy. His Ford truck has a CT license plate, take that info for what its worth.

Sam knows he’s filling the shoes for a lot of Reddit retards without actual fathers. That’s exactly what makes him so toxic to society. He’s purposely giving lost, Eminem listening, spergs with only one parental figure in life, heinously bad life advice. I just got done watching this and its by far the funniest shit Ive seen all week. I never imagine he would look so uncomfortable but of course he was trying to sneak a hit piece on sam with this feign documentary. alot of Folks find it suspect that he mentioned H3H3 twice without being prompt during the interview and Turkey Toms vid on Fantano was taken down with a copyright claim because the portion of the vid had Sam talking on Anthony's podcast. This kind of (Vaguely mind you) seems to be a H3,Idubbbz, and Fantano joint gay op but that neither here or there. Best parts are the interview, the crack whore randomly showing up, and the poster at the end.

Its far more simple than just being a surrogate e-daddy, its basically emotional investment in liking/hating.
People are far more likely to post something online whether its reviews or comments when they have negative emotions about a subject, and the people who have the positive emotions about it will come in pissed off when the negative comments start churning away.
Kind of like what you've been doing in this thread, you clearly really hate Sam for some autistic reason.

I'm not really sure where this idea of him giving life-ruining advice comes from. The closest thing I can think of is his financial advice, but even that is heavily qualified because he knows his audience wants lots of different lifestyles
-He tells people to abuse consumer debt, buy shitcoins and NFTs, and play with payment plans and bankruptcies, IF you don't want to live a normal life and don't plan to get a mortgage, car loan, have kids, wife, stability, etc. You could do both if you're smart or retarded enough to finesse the system. Look at DSP, replace his streaming income with a construction site job, replace gacha with a Ford F-450 payment and an expensive mortgage, keep the drinking problem, and you have a very common American scenario
The rest of the stuff he talks about is:
-Getting a useful skill and developing it, either on your own or with an expert who's willing to teach you
-Being humble, being likeable, being able to collaborate with people so you don't need to do everything in life by yourself
-Avoiding casual sex with trash heaps. Yes ironic I know but Sam would know best about why that's bad
-Leveling up from your Lv. 1 slime alcoholic/weedhead buddies who genuinely don't want you to succeed
It could just be selective hearing but I've never really heard him give absolutely terrible advice that he didn't qualify in some way or give out as an obvious joke. Maybe differentiating between sarcasm and genuine statements is an issue with legitimately autistic critics

You laid out a lot of what I found heinous, but even the lesser stuff you mentioned becomes bad advice when it’s coming from someone who clearly does not take his own advice. Sam's really hardcore cult of personality fans are undoubtedly composed of at least some people who lack fathers or good role models. But I think his broader appeal to people who aren't really fans of him as a person more comes from his critique of the situation millennials and zoomers face. Even people with decent families and a head on their shoulders have come to feel disillusioned. This is especially true of his content that is aimed at the college system. That's why his Ted Talk is fairly well-liked, people of many different backgrounds and political leanings recognize the lack of substance to higher education and the fact that it is largely a grift that doesn't prepare people for real life, leaves them in debt, and often puts them in a shit job going nowhere.
Granted Sam does seem to come from a privileged background, but his observations don't necessarily have to apply to himself to resonate with others. His cult of personality need not invalidate some fair points he brings up in his comedy. I can respect the position that people shouldn't give out advice that they don't follow but I can’t really agree that it makes the advice itself untrue.

The gaslighting doc had me rolling but I don't think they pulled it off very well. They came off so strong, he clearly realized they were not being sincere... which is why I assume he never published the full film. Granted you can only see so much in these clips so maybe they did act normal 90% of the time and fully retarded only 10% of it, but from this documentary, it seems like they were acting stupid the entire time, at which point, yeah of course he's going to realize he's being fucked with.
