I used to think that, but there was that thing with the Raptor where he bought it and made a whole joke of how impractical and expensive it was but now he says he loves it and it's his favorite truck ever. Initially thought it was a bit- he had videos of him fucking around and damaging it - but like the rest of the stories it seems he just made a wildly poor serious decision and the joke is basically how fucking dumb he is.

I'm not trying to overthink anything here and a lot of it is still funny, but when I hear he's 100k in debt with no plans on fixing it I just think that's gonna go really bad sometime soon. And then it's like the box fan thing. The joke was just that he's violent and angry at everything around him, that's gonna manifest in other ways.

You guys are making too much of the bad debt thing. In the US nothing really happens to deadbeats for defaulting on private debt. They can take you to court and get a judgment (in practice more than one judgment, this alone takes years), but whether they can actually collect and how much is hugely variable - if you're not getting a steady paycheck in one known bank account they won't even be able to garnish your wages. It's the blood from a stone problem and there's a thousand ways to cheat even after having a judgment levied against you. Sam doesn't even have a legit job and isn't trying to be a serious adult, so he could live on donations made to random cycling accounts, along with whatever other piecemeal schemes and leeching he could pull off (and how is this any different to what he's been doing?).

Even if they're taking your official wages they can only take so much, and there's no such thing as debtor's prison. It's also entirely possible to play the system and just declare (real or imaginary) bankruptcy, in which case you're no longer liable for the debts at all. Your credit will be shot for 7+ years but what does that matter to a failbum?

I actually think this is a hilarious comedy routine and I wish him the best in defrauding the shit out of debt slavery corporations. Posting about his intentions online isn't gonna get him any sympathy in court though, assuming they find the videos.

Best example I can think of is when he did his Smocaine 3 promo video where he was under a blanket and he was pretending he was living in his car. If I recall he one of his hydewars episodes after this where he had to basically tell people that he wasn't actually living in his car, and he was fine financially. Take everything Sam does as a joke or part of some bit. Remember, his original stuff was him making mocking videos in front of a dirty mirror mocking himself/caricatures of people. Then, the TEDx skit of course which made him famous. Not surprising to think that he would make everything a big joke when his most successful skits are him making his whole life a joke on purpose.

You're moving the goal posts here. I'm not looking for prosecution, I'm looking for an investigation or some sort of court filing for a restraining order.

I'm criticizing the claims since the victims are accusing Sam of being this horrible, creepy, abuser of vulnerable women yet no one, not a single one seems interested in taking this with law enforcement or a domestic/sexual violence support group to get help or some sense of justice. They seem very content to blog about it on Facebook, tumblr, and 4chan, instead. It's all very suspicious, it's almost as if their claims won't hold up once the experts try to help them.

Now if this happened 20 years ago, it wouldn't be far fetched that women are unable to find help because they don't know where to look but now that we have a wealth of information that is merely a few keystrokes away accessible almost anywhere in the World; not to mention the age group of these women have grown up with the internet available, there really isn't a good reason to not look for help. If they are telling the truth they have nothing to lose taking this up as our society has become hypersensitive to abuse. Concerning the pathetic argument that it would cost a lot of money to use the courts, pay attention to the legal abuse this site has faced, if anything, getting accused of something is expensive. There are no charity groups for people accused of abuse like there are for people claiming abuse. The resources are on the victims side in this situation.

Again, these women have nothing to lose if they are telling truth but it seems there is much more to their claims if they don't want to.

To add onto what ellroy posted; Sam is a big target for the types who dislike his humor or politics. Anyone lodging these complaints in a legal process would have a ton of support from all corners of the internet to signal boost it. Not to mention the instant and irreversible stain on character that types of a certain political flavor love to throw out. Posting screenshots on 4chan of the allegations limp-dickly achieves this, but sidesteps any possible legal ramifications. It really comes off as someone trying to cause him or his brand harm, but not so dedicated to the cause to possibly fuck their own lives up. For years now I've been seeing constant and instantaneous posting of that 'Sam Hyde and bleeding girl story' pic on every 4chan forum he so much as gets mentioned on.

My own schizo theory is that part of why the various retards are suing the Kiwifarms, repeatedly, is to have that ammo in an argument or rebuttal about Kiwifarms. "x is on kiwifarms? You know they're getting sued for defamation/false information/whatever. I can't trust anything from there". Nevermind the lawsuit was completely frivolous or even dismissed, it essentially gaslights any information that comes out of here. Sam would be a great target for this kind of feather in the cap, essentially stunting any growth or collabs he does.

Of course it could come out that these allegations have merit. Just the way he's positioned would make him an easy target for going loud, which begs the question of why they aren't.

The leaks don't say Sam Hyde is some kind of idiotic caveman smacking women over the head with his club and dragging them behind the rape shed in broad daylight. Instead, the leaks give the picture of someone who is clever and aware that he's riding the line legally and who takes precautions. The leaks claim that he is very careful about age of consent laws, asking young girls on Instagram their age to make sure he isn't setting himself up for legal trouble. Leaks from the Marky saga also allege that he destroyed a hard drive containing incriminating materials. Covering his ass with regard to age of consent matters, because if he messes up on that point, the courts only need to prove he had sex with the wrong person to convict him.

As for other potential accusations, the situation gets more difficult. It is arguable that the physical abuse and mental manipulation in his relationships is illegal, but proving misconduct is likely harder in those instances. Most of the girls seem to have consented to some kind of relationship initially and only changed their mind later. In some cases, I believe they also consented to some kind of BDSM, which would blur the story for any accusations involving abuse. Technically, all these points wouldn't prevent women from instigating an investigation or court case against Sam Hyde, but all these women are likely on some level aware of the diffculty of having that case be successful.

It's interesting to point out that the leaks seemingly don't really accuse Sam Hyde much of IRL stalking - it seems that he mostly leaves the women alone after they escape his grasp, at most attempting to win them back with cringy love letters, spreading rumors or back-handedly mocking them by working their stories into his skits (both allegedly happened with Marky). Eventually though they seem to mostly be free of him, so they likely just leave it at that. The alternative would be dragging Sam's ass through the court system - even if they can get some abuse victim group to pay their legal costs, they're still spending their time and humiliating themselves by revealing in public that they got sexually abused.

For restraining orders in particular, the above applies as well. If Sam eventually just leaves them alone , what's the need for a restraining order?

And again - you as well as @The New Downhill Legend just seem really optimistic about the way life works, thinking that the bad people always get caught (or at least investigated) by the legal system. I already pointed out how powerful abusers with hundreds of victims got away with it for years (sometimes almost half a century). But since ellroy argued that it's unfair to compare poor old homeless-looking Sam Hyde with a sharp pedo tycoon like Epstein, I'll bring another example. Just consider the stories about how pimps operate - women get caught up by false promises of work or relationships and get turned into prostitutes, kept in line with mental manipulation and threats. As with the high profile abusers I mentioned, this can also on for years.

The same case you make about Sam could be made about these women - why don't they just gather evidence about the pimp and take it to the police? Well, it's often because mental manipulation through fear works. Even the pimps who are just common lowlifes without ties to organized crime can create a big threatening shadow about their supposed ability for reprisal. They don't always get away with it forever, but some do, and can keep it going for years. And this can be pulled off by some lowlife pimping his druggie girlfriend for heroin money. If they get away with it, why can't Sam?
