I stand corrected. Honestly, I didn't hear that they had already debunked it. Which again, just highlights how shitty access to information about women's health and biology really isHuh, when last I was looking at this (admittedly like five years ago now) the consensus was that periods don't synch up and it was just random - as in, ten people on cycles of slightly different length will all appear to be "synchronising" as they move throughout the year just because of them overlapping - McClintock's work with androstenol in the 70s was basically busted in about 2012, her methods were a bit shaky (nothing ethically questionable, just not a great study design in retrospect) and couldn't be replicated.
Glad to know that people are still doing research that sounds like the mad science from a b-movie!
