I really hate to disagree when my disagreement is going to sound like defending Nazism, but part of why Nazism was more effective was the entirely different view of economic policy they had. Communism, and specifically Maoism, had a purely centralized top-to-bottom economy where every single aspect of what was done economically was dictated from the top, specifically by Mao personally. Just as under Stalin, this led to mass famines, disasters, utter incompetence, and stupid policies that didn't produce shit. Like this idiot shit that turned finished products into completely worthless, unusable "steel." And you can find example after example of this utterly dumb shit, like when Mao decided to kill all the sparrows, just because he didn't like them, and set off a huge famine because of his retardation.

Fascism, whatever else you might have to say about it, didn't do shit like this. Hitler, often viewed as an absolute dictator, actually had to appease and appeal to corporate interests and social elites. They just weren't the same social elites as the Weimar degenerates he got rid of. A fundamental principle of fascism and corporate support for fascism is that the government does not idiotically make demands of how their goals get achieved. They just say "here's what needs done, bid on it." And then shit gets done.

And in a fascist society, if you get the bid and don't get it done, you get the bullet.

I work in healthcare and I’ve seen Covid survivors who spent a month or two in the hospital, struggle with brain fog and lung damage and have to carry around oxygen tanks or go into physical therapy or nursing homes.
