This is kind of where I've been at when people talk about the defense not doing anything. I feel like the prosecution has been doing enough damage to their own case. Why interrupt your opponent when they're making several critical errors?

Because the interruption would've made you win in the first place without needing to trust a jury?
How is there going to be a need for a jury if the law that was broken wasn't broken in the first place?

To put it as analogy.
You got a million dollars somehow.
