For what it's worth, there is an actual bardic tradition that is a thing. I have two degrees of separation from a legit Bard with a doctorate in Theology who's also ex-special forces and consults on the military chaplains' handbook (I am vague on details, neither knowing him personally nor being a military sperg).
Spoiler alert: they are not affiliated with the SCA, they do not hand out training to just anyone who asks for it, and I'm pretty sure there are no serious colleges that would offer a degree in it, but rather in Classics, Comparative Theology, or something similar, and would involve way too many non-Bard-oriented courses for someone like Tyro.
So literally the only reason he's with Zayn is because she's "cool" with his disabilities? Hell, she's not only okay with them, she'll actively encourage them.
God, the more we learn about Tyro the more obvious it becomes that Zayn is a psychopath preying on the vulnerabilities of a sick (and possibly dying) man in order to feed her own ego and ever expanding gut. She saw a weak target who was desperate for someone to love him in spite of his obvious debilitation and now she's playing him for all he's worth. To make matters worse, the fact that neither of them have jobs and rarely leave the house means that Tyro is trapped alone with Zayn for days at a time. Isolation is another key tactic that abusers use to keep their victims in line.

The difference here is that if Tyro dies a premature death due to health complications and she turns out to be the irresponsible catalyst she can be charged with manslaughter or even murder. And I think (despite the drama) Tyro's family would actually seek criminal charges if something does happen to him.
The fact that she claims to be sexually voracious and doesn't get regular testing for STDs just highlights her potentially criminal negligence. There wasn't any hard evidence that Vade actively encouraged Kenneth to commit suicide, but if Tyro dies from an easily preventable disease there is already plenty of documented evidence pointing to Zayn as the guilty party.
I don't give a shit what Zayn does with her own life, but she's putting someone else's health at risk just to satisfy her own lack of ambition. That's disgusting. You don't get to claim that you love someone while simultaneously endangering their life.

It's been said many times before, but Zayne has got to be one of the most worthlelss, useless, and lazy POS I've ever encountered. You'd think that, if she loved Tyro as much as she claims she does, that she'd at least make the minimal effort to make his life a bit more comfortable. (Yeah, he's abrasive and a bit of an asshole but he's got some serious disabilities.)
How long do you think that Tyro wises up and kicks her out? (Either that, or maybe his dad will finally have had enough and offer an ultimatum: either Zayne or free housing (sans Zane).
On another note, it looks like they didn't get the cat (or I expect we would have heard about it), which is a good thing.
