People shocked at the "but you had a bigger gun" argument clearly haven't been paying attention to the lefty narrative around any of the high profile police shootings.

Literally every one of those cases comes down to a belief that the groids deserved a "fair fight" and that the cops shouldn't have resorted to a firearm unless the perp had pulled their own firearm, no matter how violent they were or whatever else they were armed with.

Look up some of the hot takes from when that girl got shot while trying to stab another girl shortly after the Chauvin verdict. "BUT SHE JUST HAD A KNIFE !!!!!" sounds exceptional to anyone with two brain cells to rub together but a lot of people are that dumb. Hopefully there aren't any on this jury.

We've had people right in this thread over the last day arguing about "proportionality" as if that was an actual legal standard under consideration. I pointed out that it's not and they're like, "NUH UH IT'S IMPLIED."

Binger's style of prosecution in a nutshell:

See, billions of years ago, the earth was a ball of molten rock..." and the jury just punches out around the time Binger asks Kyle for the 10th time if he's aware that the AR-15 is capable of a mass extinction like the one in the permian-triassic era.

Also, by the end of the trial before the jury goes to decide on Kyle's fate, the defense is allowed a statement, right? I bet they'll tear the arguments asunder that Binger tried to raise here, that Kyle can't be expected to make split second decisions with an angry mob running all around him, screaming bloody murder, that it's outright insane to expect him to administer first aid to people who tried to kill him while the rest of the mob is still around trying to kill him too. Binger is a shifty eyed weasel to go "You were there to help, so why didn't you help the people trying to violently kill you after you barely escaped?". Pure scumbag, if that's the only way this faggot can build a case against Kyle, that shows that he's reaching and that he's using dirty tactics to make him look bad.

No kidding. People don't realize how lethal an impact to the head can be, even if you just fall over. Several instances of someone getting punched just once and hitting their head on the ground, cause them lethal injuries. FFS, I used to live in a place where someone slipped on a very thin layer of ice, hit his head when falling and he died.
Binger was essentially arguing that Kyle could not know whether the angry mob would just rough him up a little or kill him and argued that Kyle just has to take that fucking risk, not fight back and find out the hard way.

I applauded Kyle when he managed to evade some really shitty traps, like him reiterating that Rosenbaum would have shot him if he had taken the rifle, that he didn't shoot to kill, that he shot to protect himself. Textbook, fucking textbook.

Maybe that's part of his strategy. Put the jurors into a blind stupor due to boredom and then ask a question, ignore the answer and proceed as if you had gotten the incriminating answer, hoping that the actual answer won't stick if you repeat the fictional one often enough.

Kyle did a better job than most of us expected him to do today. Also held great resilience to breaking and attacking the prosecutor with the endless loop of questioning. I think that goes to show that he has been consistent, honest, and has a higher tolerance than shit I think most of us here could in his shoes.

Not a lawfag. IIRC I was told to look at the jury for answering certain questions in my lawsuit to garner sympathy or something but I don't think it works when you were pointing a gun at the head of the guy who shot you.

It's also kinda scummy for Binger to call out kyle for looking at his defense team a few times when their own witness couldn't stop turning around to get validation from the jury every five seconds

For people wondering why Bingus arguing gun size was so retarded, it's because the .223 AR uses a smaller round then the .40 glock. The length of the barrel is not an indication of a guns power. It's an indication of accuracy AT RANGE. An AR has more range then a Glock, not more power.

Then we get into the Ammo type. A .223 full metal jacket sounds scary, but at point blank range it's going to go into you, and it's going to go out of you. You have a far greater chance of surviving then to take a .40 HOLLOW POINT at point blank range. Hollow Points are designed to expand and NOT exit. Which means it stays in the body and the expansion action also causes even more tissue damage, increasing the chance of a fatal impact.

The AR may have been BIGGER but in this scenario the Glock was WAY more dangerous.

I blame idiots taking action movies for real life as well. These people think they see actors/stuntmen take punch after punch to the head with zero effects and think fights irl play out this way. I hope the defense brings in Grosskreutz collapse from Monday. This alone should have enough impact. Plus all the material evidence (autopsy, chemicals etc) supports Kyle more then the prosecutor imho. Of course I might be wrong. after today my hope have been severly shredded.
