Maybe Binger is trying to drag this out so long that the jury forgets all the damaging testimony Balch offered in the first 30 minutes. Or he's just afraid of cross and trying to delay it as long as possible.

At this point the Jury is gonna need an "in a nutshell" video of all the evidence at week 5 of the trial to figure out what the fuck the prosecution case is

Orders from above. DA wants the case through court so it goes through court. There's a lot of preening done before cases go to court, the fact that this one went to court seems political, especially as it was announced like the day after that Rittenhouse is being charged
