Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? Does he even have a running mate yet?

Is it just me or have Psaki and Biden both been getting really antsy about the masks thing? It feels odd that all of a sudden Biden (or his handlers?) are forgoing his while Psaki just doesn't give a fuck anymore if the cameras record her.
Psaki is on her way out and almost at the end of her term as press secretary. She's definitely hit the point of "I am so done with this job" and is just riding out the last months till she leaves.

The heat’s getting to them.

How would you rate her performance as WH Press Secretary?
Honestly quite good. Her job is to bullshit to the press and smooth over the bumps of an administration. Given said administration has been less bumpy and more violently careening off the road, she has done admirably for what her job is.

Shit. I get that she was placed into an unenviable situation but not once did she ever come across as anything other than an unlikable bitch running cover for an old man in mental decline. The fact she's invested in getting some nice and juicy nepotism going doesn't help matters.

Frankly, that's her job though. The Press Secretary is in the job of being the face of the administration, and taking the brunt of the media backlash. So you can dislike the job that she is doing, but that doesn't mean she's bad at said job.

I agree. Who would you say performed better, McEnany or Psaki?

Slightly related, why did trump cycle through Press secretaries so quickly?

The Press Secretary job is -brutal-, you are the focus of a ton of usually hostile attention and it only gets worse as the press learns how to push you. For Trump that brutality was taken to a solid 12.

That's a single verse of a longer cadence that mostly doesn't have anything to do with MLK. There's another verse that's exactly the same but with JFK, instead. It's also fairly old, I first heard it back in 2014.

Too different to judge. McEnany's purpose was to go on the offensive, to attack a hostile press. Psaki is purely defensive, her only real goal being to just tamp down the fire and divert attention.
Very different engagements, agreed...although, I tend to lean toward McEnany having a tougher fight as the press was pretty brutal with her.
