Final Fantasy XIV - Kiwi Free Company

An interview came out where Yoshi mentioned that they're looking into upgrading the glamour dresser's space sometime after 6.0. The exact amount and the when aren't specified, but he effectively said "we're working on upgrading it within the foreseeable future". This vagueness is normal because Yoshi has learned how hard this community/the press will reach for answers, like that Meoni exceptional individual trying to spin the island sanctuary content as "CONFIRMED" instanced housing in his interview with Yoshi.
I'd say it's safe to assume both the glamour dresser size, and the amount of plates will increase, wether it be on launch of 6.0 or beyond. They did it with SHB when it came out, wouldn't be shocked to see it happen shortly after, especially with two new jobs added into the mix.

People who do really put those words in Yoshi-P's mouth are a little up there though. He does say some things because legally he can't with NDAs and crap, but to be damn that sure there's instanced housing, let alone at a time where the housing in game is still an absolute shitshow. That's def gonna blow back in people's faces.

I hope they have instanced housing with a yard where I can drop all my event crap. That way I can abandon my house and actually unsub from the game when I'm done with the content.

I play a lot and having to sub just to keep my house is grating.

Anyone trying to sell exarchic gear now is :optimistic: because you can get better gear just by farming Paradigm's Breach and doing daily expert roulette for revelation. I mostly just sell chili crab because it lets you go syrupless for some high-end rotations and it's super easy to catch blue crabs if you have a macro.

From my PoV I assumed it's still selling because if you're at a point in MSQ where you just hit level 80 for the first time and you have to make your way up from item level 430 to 500 in order to not be locked out of content it's a lot quicker and easier to just buy an exarchic set for your first level 80 job and skip the phase of wrestling with dungeon drop RNG. After that you can just grab stuff from Pag/Eden's promise/Tower/Roulette tomestones for the other jobs.

This is exactly why my friends and my alt are all garbed in exarchic.

Excluding expert roulette, frontline roulette, and mentor roulette, you can earn 690 allegory a day just from roulettes. Just doing the story dungeons up to Matoya's Relict will get you another 400. Copied Factory and Puppet's Bunker are another 200 allegory. The Eden raids before promise on normal add up to another 80. Then also take into account the first time completion bonus on the content that'll get you extra allegory (between 50 and 100 for each duty completed). It's highly likely that just by progressing MSQ and unlocking the raid content at 80, a new player is going to be able to have a nearly full crystarium set by the time they unlock Eden's Promise normal (at which point they can just farm 510 gear).

The things most likely to sell are weapons (since not a lot of content drops those at cap) but I've had a bunch of exarchic weapons up on the MB for three weeks now and I adjust them every day to be the lowest price - even setting them at 50k earlier today, none of them are selling.

Also a lot of the people reaching endgame now are WoWfugees and so deathmarch dungeon grinds are nothing to them.

This is all assuming that
A: players will be doing their roulettes on their max-level character, not levelling an alt
B: after getting a character to 80, players will want to do all roulettes daily
C: players will try to experience all content and not focus on powering through the msq
D: players will not prioritise playing catch-up on other sub-level-80 content (or have already done it)
E: players gear at entry level 80 is good enough to get through all content up to edens promise (nnnot even slightly).

This really doesn’t play out like you think it does, mate. I’m not talking out of my ass here, I’ve been going through the content with two newbies to prep them for endwalker. They are laser-focused on MSQ, and that’s WITH me trying to pull them away to other things. None of us had the allegory to buy many pieces, but we did have the Gil to buy sets of exarchic.

Besides, why spend allegory on Crystarium gear when you can use it to get Augmented Exarchic Gear, which is Ilvl 520?

Why even buy current end game gear now?
Endwalker is in 31 days now, the only reason i can imagine is transmogs.

They really should have their own armoire for seasonal items, especially when they give us like 5 of them every event or so. I have a small and the amount I've gotten is just nuts.

Exarchic gear is also fairly cheap. There's, what, 12 slots? 13 on paladin? Even forking out about 100k for each piece and around 300k for the weapon, you're looking at maybe 1.4M gil. That's chump change. Of course, the only real benefit is if you want to experience the game's content before the oncoming stat squish, but to shell out for a single set of all that just before endwalker isn't the worst thing in the world, especially since it will smooth over some of the early content.

Of course, selling it is a different thing. You're getting real close to the point at which inventories are going to need liquidated on that stuff, because its only use will be for glamour real real soon. It's a great buyer's market to be in. Especially since there's so little use for the stupid allegory tomestones, you'd may as well turn them into rain and save yourself the boredom of running the third nier raid over and over again to get a 520 set. at least people have finally, after all these months, learned to pull hansel and gretel apart

You have more money than required when finishing MSQ to buy the exarchic gear. It's not like you'll be spending the money on much else. Much easier than constantly getting cockblocked on content because your ilvl is too low.

And you want to have multiple copies of them because they'll go on the mogstation for 5 bucks each the next year. It really does get old.

I've finished recruiting for my static last week. The amount of wow players trying to apply who did 0 raids in 14 was insane.

I think a lot of people underestimate how much gil sprouts spend on stupid shit. The amount of them that I've run into that think 100k gil is a lot of money is quite surprising and apparently many of them just dump their gil into glamour and leveling gear and other dumb shit pretty regularly.

Also what are your static requirements if I may ask? I don't normally put much weight on parses or even savage clears myself, but someone who hasn't even done an extreme while it's current is normally a non-starter in my book.

Is there going to be a pre-patch phase? Or 6.0 is live once Endwalker releases?
No prepatch phase. Sometime in early November we'll be informed about the pre-launch maintenance period. The servers will be taken down for between 24 and 48 hours before the game enters early access on the 19th (expect it to be closer to 48 hours with how bad server problems have been lately). Once the servers are back up, we'll be in 6.0 with all the system changes but only people who have preordered will be able to start Endwalker's MSQ. On November 23rd, the early access period will end and you'll be able to start the MSQ without needing to have preordered.

A few more possible happenings during the launch:
1) Expect sudden, unannounced emergency maintenance windows for hotfixes.
2) Expect there to be normal maintenance (5-6 hours) on the 23rd when Endwalker leaves early access.
3) Expect servers to be congested.
4) Expect DDoS attacks. NA and EU got slammed by DDoS during the first two weeks of Shadowbringers by fanatics from another MMO and I don't think it'll be different this time around.
5) Expect the 70-80 dungeons to be unplayable as every shitter decides to unlock sage and play it despite never playing a healer before.
6) Expect catboys to become extinct.
