Shad getting to the punchline instead of doing some drawn out c-tier porn plot (I'm aware that he has attempted a couple stories with a plot but dropped because of either burnout, laziness or flat out forgetfulness) doesn't take away from the fact that it's hardly a shocking thing in art and fiction, with how common it is.

This is one of those things I have to place a doubt on. A large chunk of these no name artists are always derided online for being Shadman wannabes, content and style wise, regardless of whether or not they touch the realm of edge, aesthetic or fetishes that Shad does or used to do. Kinda like how a lot of shitty artists on tumblr are derided for being Steven Universe/Rebecca Sugar wannabes.

Part of that is the surface level same looking art styles you see but to Shad's credit his style before it was washed and diluted had some grunge to it that made him unique. The whole "Calarts" thing is the cheap way to wiggle yourself into a slot in the art realm where there would have been none. Thing is though that terms is very broad as it doesn't just mean similar looking art style it could also mean the very simplistic or loopy art styles that aren't necessarily trying to ape Sugar's design specifically.

I disagree, the mere idea of drawing a child getting fucked (anime or not) has to be a red flag of some kind. If it looks like a kid, anime eyes or not, and you're jerkin it to em then you're still pretty fucked in the head. At the end of the day, you're thinking of a kid getting fucked and enjoying it and that's just fucked. Gore and violence is entirely different to "loli" porn. If I watch a guy get blown up or watch him be dismembered then it's a no-brainer that I'm not going to replicate that in real life, but "loli" is so specific - you're watching kids get fucked and that's way more indicative of your character than watching something violent. Typically, when violence is replicated from media, the individual is mentally unstable or there's some outer trigger; a paedophile is a paedophile no matter what, we shouldn't excuse their wanking material with "well do people who watch violent media commit violence too?".

Obviously kids aren't getting raped everywhere in Japan, because anime to them are cartoons to us. The majority of people don't watch cartoons, so why would the majority of the Japanese watch anime? Even then, not every anime is pervy towards lolis, most are just pervy to women with all the accidental groping and shit. While sick and kind of what Japan is known for, lolis aren't too mainstream, and even if they were not everyone who watches loli porn is going to be a molester - it's probably more likely, but whether they're going to be a molester or not is kind of irrelevant. The whole thing here is that if a guy watches a kid, fictional or not, anime eyes or not, with proper childlike anatomy (which Shadman has drawn, a la Hat Girl and the stomach bulge) then he is definitely a paedophile and what he enjoys is sick. What Shadman and JLullaby provides to those paedophiles is sick.

What few I know of based on this thread are based on real people or established characters. I highly doubt Shad even has a kid, otherwise he would have addressed it like most other rumors about him. Speaking of which: how did this rumor even start, anyway?

Why on Earth would he admit to having a child, especially a daughter, ever? He's documented as complicit in a fuck ton of pseudo CP (who knows what else behind the scenes). It's more like he either draws loli in a weird pseudo chibi style with the big head and skinny body, "Average for Shadman" type of female body like the dark haired chick on the right in that image above and the third is just the second one with either a bigger ass or tits. I know it's old but I can't find any background on where/when it was taken or by whom. I've been through this thread and other spots and haven't learned anything. Everyone is saying it's a "confirmed" pic of Shad but I'm not finding anything to prove that.
