Children are told not to trespass on neighbor's property and to avoid playing in other people's yards. Even to pass through a side of a property to get home there because trespassing is taken that seriously. Especially at night. It is not they "could be" shot. It's "you will be". Nobody wants a dead child. People merely peeping into windows have been legally shot and killed. July is likely is speaking from this sentiment and obviously Nick knows this. You can defend it just as you could a house you outright owned.

When Nick says that Eric's issue with Dick and Vito attacking his company is no different that what Eric himself and other commentators do to Disney, Marvel and DC - there is a problem.

I don't recall there being an instance of Eric and others reaching out to these companies' business partners the same way Dick and Vito did.

I'll have to find the clip, but in the same show they said "We reached out" later on in the video they are talking about the post Mark (from the charity) made and Dick was very clear when he said "The guy we're talking to posted this on Facebook" and he shows the post from the charity.

While I don't think Dick and/or Vito reached out to the ministry, they did work with one of the fans to contact that charity - the fan got excited and reached out to the ministry on his own. Now, Dick and Vito are playing up as if they were innocent and attempting to gaslight people and Nick, maybe it's the alcohol, seems to conflate this behavior with people shifting on other companies.
