The lesson still won't be learned. It was barely learnt after @Kraut pulled his ops and it took jim to make the ballad of mundanematt to demonstrate how shitty skeptic behaviour is. Then there's the beauty community, the minecraft community, the furries, the leafy clones, and more communities still that have all demonstrated that the people who subscribe to the idea of, and operate as if within, some internet cartel that they will act as underhandedly as a cartel would with all the internet autism and shitflinging with some megarape thrown into the mix. IBS, the Alt-Right, you name some gay bullshit in earnest and you have numbered that bullshit's credibility lifespan. The only two similar groups I've seen that have to a large degree sidestepped this effect are the Kiwis and ED. Even then, there's fairly bitchy to insane drama that occurs in those groups.

Internet personalities are such fucking fags and we should have learned this around the time of SoK.
