Just saw a Reddit commiseration thread over the lack of import choices. Over 90% of the commenter were very sad and upset the game is basically a soft reboot and is going to ignore all their decisions of prior games.

Everyone defending this basically boils down “corporations gotta allocate money man, can’t do everything”-which fine, eventually yes you have to be make that call but then don’t sell the audience on it actually mattering.

Everyone defending the game is basically telling any long time fans “look the game doesn’t care about your prior choices, so just..play this game for itself pls?”

It’s pitiful, but it’s literally the marketing here.

Every other game in the series made a point of being a continuation of events set in motion since Origins, a game that came out in 2009 - some people have had storylines going on for almost two decades at this point. Choices that you made over the course of those games mattered to people and affected the world of the games accordingly.

But no, chuck all that shit in the bin. That doesn't matter. Got to make way for pronoun spergery and non-binary qunari.
