probably the factions thing, FFXIV and OSR have that "everyone for himself" thing, obviously you can't be a troon waving your e-benis on OSR...

fwiw it highly depends on server and cluster. I had never an issue in ff14 being yuropoor and was smart enough to not start on a meme shard...
