If it was up to me I'd give him a month and some probation afterwards with counseling as a contingency. They won't give him any time though...

County jails can vary a lot in the US. Assuming it's a somewhat chill county jail, with mostly petty criminals, it very well might be a healthier...

This has practically been discussed to death at this point. General consensus is he deserves jail time, but will get off with probation and a fine.
