Might just be me, but I kind of digging the art style. There is more effort put into than Tea could ever do and it actually looks pleasing to look at.

I might just be nitpicking, but they have their fair share of really weird artistic liberties made.

Then again, I feel most of this could be remedied by not looking at Tearzah's art for reference. Their colors are pleasing and there's this painterly quality that makes it way nicer and dynamic than Tearzah's.

long time lurker, first time caller. i know we’re past the fact of everyone sharing their tearzah stories but i have one of my own too. hope it’s ok to share.
without delving into my whole life story, i kind of grew up using rp as an escapism from my real life. struggled with a shitton of stuff, whatever, created ocs to help cope. one of them was an oc for a popular anime at the time that was an obvious self insert. i was 11 when i made her and she was a 9 year old which... makes sense for someone my age. at one point the oc had self harm scars on her arms. before ash was a thing.
i roleplayed in chat rooms for a long time until i joined tumblr with my oc and began to roleplay with her. joined a group. had friends. etc. this was wayyy before ash was a thing as a fluffy haired doll girl, but my oc was a direct extension of myself so it had shorter fluffier hair and was a kid and etc. got a fairly large following for the time but ended up deleting it after some shit with a couple other infamous tumblr users. i remade them account and continued rping. and then tearzah happened. and then ash happened. and people started bombarding my roleplay account with calling me a thief because of my oc. i was like 14? and so scared because they said it was copyright violation because i could get in trouble. i tried providing proof that my oc was at least a few years older than ash’s current design but it was no use, they basically wouldn’t stop and i got scared and deactivated my blog.
it messed me up as an artist and as someone who liked to roleplay because i barely saw any similarities in our ocs except the fluffy hair. i put mine on the shelf and stopped using it until recently, but i occasionally get worried ill be called a copycat again just because our characters had coincidences way before ash was a thing and i changed the design a bit more, but it still sort of resembles ash. i don’t think i shoul have to revamp my own oc because its based off of my natural features, yknow? and learning that she has stolen so many characters just makes me mad cus i got accused of being thieved

Awhh hun, I am so sorry about that ): <3 Hopefully you feel somewhat better now.
let me tell you, a lot of ash tearzah fans are pretty crazy. It is natural to put away an oc just because of feeling truamatized by it and it reminding you of the past. I had to do that twice with a couple of characters. Funny enough, I had somewhat of a fluffy hair character before I even knew what a tearzah was as well. And seeing Ash and tearzah now even makes me afraid to bring her out too, so I hear ya. But hopefully you will find some love with that character again, because it does sound like a important character in your life. We all had those at some point, including now. Even if you dont then that is alright, just know that you being attacked over one of the pettiest thing ever is not your fault.

This one, the two artworks you're buying don't even remotely resemble each other. They don't even have the same color hair!Same shit with one of the ones she bought off Tearzah. What's even funnier about that, is that the only art of the full design is a base doll that stripped the original design of all the personality that came with her original facial features and replaced them with generic moeshit. Shame that is.

It takes some balls to charge $45 for these things. At the end of the day, when you're selling a character, what you're actually selling is a design and the art you made for it. The first one isn't even a finished design, and every drawing is an unoriginal piece of work that looks like it was never finished.
People need to understand that the attachment you have to a character you're selling isn't directly proportional to their value.

It's old drama but basically David Alejandro Pascual Argueta AKA Cristali/ValdroxX/Zafiro Studios was a south american youtuber who was arrested last year for child pornography. He used derivative OCs, traced animation memes, and a fake 16 year old girl persona to lure vulnerable autistic 12 and 14 year old girls into talking with him and producing child pornography, which he then sold to pedophile rings.

I thought he was arrested somewhere in mexico? A few mentioned he lived there some time back.
His dumbass thought he would be proven innocent or have people feel sorry for him if he said something along the lines of, "it wasnt me! dont believe it someone pretended to be me!" while the lunatic had 4-8 different phones to sell his victims CP and while do other unspeakable disgusting shit.
I remember being aware of the guy when he only had 1.5k brought subs (it was proven by another youtuber he was buying subs) and thought he was some kinda nads6969 troll, including the fake sponsorship, but ohh boy was I wrong. I was bewildered at the fact that it took so long just for him to get arrested and it only took one of the victims to speak to her counselor about what was he doing to her just for an investigation to start.
Lmao at the youtubers trying to take credit of him being arrested.
I dont want to go off topic any longer and just needed to vent/rant a bit because david is a shitty person, so here is some things tearzah did as of late.

This really isn't that bad. Albeit it's just a headshot, but this really isn't difficult to look at. It looks like care was put into it to some degree, like Tea really wanted it to look nice. But people pay their commission price expecting to get that, and instead get this:
Just upsetting how the difference in quality is drastic, an how people still funnel their money to Tea for art they know won't look as good as Teas personal art.

you're right, it does look like more care was put into it, the teeth is not too bad either. One thing I must say though, all those black freckles looks like the piercing's on tearzah's face and it must be confusing to look at.

Haven't been to this thread in almost half a year... Tearzah became much more of a whale. I honestly used to like her art, too.

If she commits to testosterone and continues keeping Ash a self insert, I wonder if we'll see the addition of shitty chin hairs and fat being redistributed around the waist instead of the thighs and hips. FTM HRT will not turn you into a cute twink if you're already a lardass and decide to stay a lardass. There's going to be a long, awkward phase where you're basically going through male puberty, voice cracks and all.
