Had the same experience when I played it. It probably plays better on the Vita.

It's an interesting idea, but AFAIK they tried to handle it themselves rather than getting help from someone familiar with designing the same.

Depends on what you are playing it on. It launched on the Vita and the thumbsticks there made it hard to play. On kb/m or a better controller...
