This. Also I don't like motion or touchs controls in vidya. When Wii/DS made them "normal," it was annoying. I like normal controllers.

Limits on how fast you can stream and/or decompress data from the disc. Better devs (e.g. Naughty Dogs) do spend the time to properly plan ahead...

While I think there were consoles in the 16-bit era that tried to push the "multimedia" bandwagon, which mostly failed (e.g. 3DO, Phillips CD-i)...
