Thanks for the kind replies Apparently raising chickens is more common, I know a couple of people irl who do it so I'm guessing its chickens.

If you are state side make sure you are zoned for it. Backyard chickens aren't allowed everywhere unless you're rural.

Besides basic bitch tomfuckery I can't think of anything. That's even assuming that the Russian gov't is behind it, and not just of rando-Russian...

Goats are a pain and cheeky, chickens are easier. It you do need to secure their food from vermin and they themselves can be a source of disease...

zv I think you'd have a hard time keeping goats without turf for them to graze on, or a fodder growing system like this.
