in all seriousness, is there anybody / group that would contribute a large amount?

So does Kickstarter have any kind of rules or standards anymore, or have they just said fuck it and will let anybody make one for anything...

He should have used GoFundMe. They just let you run off with whatever you ended up getting and you don't even have to have rewards for donators.
