So, IIRC there are two reasons for this: 1) Shounen is for children. Like, much more so then the west where a lot of people of all ages enjoy it...

I mean, these are the same people that put Gundam SEED on a pedestal. Edit: I love Tsuyu. Even though she's overrated she's just lovable.
