I'm fairly sure it's a trollfic, Marty McFly turns up at one point, and later on the author accidentally calls Voldemort 'Darth Valer'

Ironically the writer of that fic is openly ashamed of it.

My personal theory is that it started as a genuine fic. If you manage to dredge up any fics from 2007, you'll see a lot of similar tropes done...

Stuff like that and the Clerks reference (This job wouls be great if it wasn't for the fucking students!) always struck me as trollin'.
