It's a good first draft of a show

It's a decent story. It knows what it is.

The best way to describe it is that it feels like a fanfic of a better show.

Generally as long as you don't think to hard about the lore or expect the writers to have planned their storyline out from the start it's fine...

Y'know I actually did the same as you. Watched the Pilot when it came out, liked it, and that's all. Maybe now that the show it's ended, I should...

It's fine I guess, but it does feel like a therapy session.
