Here is the thing: did the sexualized drawing of Stephanie have a realistic art style? No, it didn't, and that was never the claim. Yes, it would have made it far worse had it done so. The elephant in the room is that this is a sexualized drawing of a character from a LIVE-ACTION show for children. A character who was played by Julianna Rose Mauriello and Chloe Lang, both of whom were MINORS. Creating sexualized content from a live-action kid's show is creepy enough, but what is even creepier is sexualizing the minors from it.
By making a sexualized drawing of that character as a child, the pornographer is also de facto sexualizing the actresses that played her. Even if this wasn't their intention, they are still sexualizing the minors that played Stephanie. It doesn't matter if the art style is styled in an anime way, the minors are still being sexualized. Due to LazyTown being live action, the actors and actresses of the characters are directly connected with each other. It's not a cartoon or an anime. Live action involves the real appearance and character of human beings.
The same defensive arguments and the downplaying of this are the EXACT same ones I heard back in the day when people defended Shadman's drawings based off real-life children. "Oh, it's still a drawing at the end of the day. The art style isn't realistic and is anime, and thus it's okay. Uhm, it's based off the character, not the actress of (insert live-action show)."
This isn't the thing anyone should defend at all. The can of worms they would be opening is not worth it at all. This sexualized drawing of Stephanie was depicting her as a child. Thus, the defensive arguments of "it was an aged-up adult version" or "it was an adult cosplaying the outfit" don't work in this context. As said before, the same defensive arguments have been used before to defend people like Shadman and any other examples like him.

That would imply children and adults are equal. They are not. They both have different rights and protections, as they should.
The rule could be applied to adult actors as well, but it's more complex due to adults being different from children and the context of the acting may be different. An adult actor has the ability to consent to such material being made from their likeness. A child actor cannot consent in every context.
In most contexts, it's still an unethical thing to do to an adult or especially a child. Especially given the rise of deepfakes and AI generative technology. Such content using the likeness of real-life human beings will become more prevalent.
