Poor fuck if true, but I read somewhere in this thread that Iran has a record of treating POWs fairly. So I hope he will be okay. Of course that could differ if the US goes full on bombing basic infrastructure. But even then it would be a retard move by Iran.
Best move Iran can do is to treat him accordingly to the rules and just use it as propaganda tool.

Basij forces is a catch all for their milita loyalists. They have multiple branches of security that gave me a headache but the basic idea of the Basij is a mimic to the SS from World War II. The Iranian regular army are the conscripts while the Basij are loyalists to the regime.
If I were Trump I'd just give up on trying to play nice with Iran. If the Iranians are OK with ration foods and are as buck broken as the Asian Communists its better to just destroy their entire infrastructure and let the UAE forever bomb them. I genuinely don't like that but it looks like thats the only plan. The IRGC will frame the imminent immigration crisis that the EU is about to feel as America's fault.

by what other means could they prove they had captured an enemy pilot than to publish photos/videos of him in custody? As for "parading him around", I imagine they have already spirited him away somewhere he can't escape from and to treat him so he doesn't die in their custody, an enemy pilot is a great bargaining chip.
Because they dared to capture an enemy pilot who was shot down over their territory while on a mission to bomb something in their country? how dare they, indeed. Be happy they didn't shoot him on sight.

Bargaining chip for what? The USA isn't going to negotiate for his release. If he is captured, Iran has to treat him well and return him when the war ends. We don't have to negotiate shit.
