  • 1 Star — Absolute disaster. Unwatchable, boring, production fucked it up bad, the fish were lame

Some people can be smart in an academic sense but will turn into complete retards in social settings. JD is a prime example, not a hardcore autist but also lacks a lot of social skills.

I think he most likely just slipped through the cracks. A lot of people end up in university when they really shouldn’t be there. I mean, you see full-on low-IQ nogs and Indians in Ivy League universities. There were plenty of less capable individuals in my course when I was at university.

There’s a clear difference between being academically good and being skilled at the craft. Many students just go to university, complete the coursework, and don’t engage in anything outside of classes. They come in, do their 4-5 years, and then leave without any personal projects or real passion for what they’re studying.

I can tell he isn’t genuinely passionate about it. It seems like he just uses his degree to brag about being an engineer from a good school. I feel like things have changed, and the level of intelligence among university attendees has dropped. I don’t think he’s completely lacking in intelligence, but if he were smart, he would have left. or just not have come on the show at all.

Laura and Blane might be my favorite freeloaders ever. It's still very early into their tenure but if they can keep this up the whole time they're in the tank I'm struggling to think of a strictly better freeloader.
