With a (questionable) W from James Drake, how would you rate season 5 of Fishtank?

  • 1 Star — Absolute disaster. Unwatchable, boring, production fucked it up bad, the fish were lame

  • 2 Stars — Pretty bad. Some funny moments, dragged, too many vibe repair days. Barely worth checking.

  • 3 Stars — Average. Solid entertainment in spots, some good chaos and crashouts, but nothing special

Season 1 had Jon and Fatty constantly stirring being retarded and keeping things entertaining. Letty was always scheming. The wiggers were putting in a lot of effort to keep things going with challenges and personalized freeloaders.

Season 2 had Cole, Jimmy, and Fatty being retarded. Sam being a straight up menace. The beef bell. Some sort of challenge going on almost all the time.

Season 3 had Burt and Alex being retarded. Sam and the wiggers constantly doing gaslighting bits.

Season 4 had Rachel acting like Boogie2988 and Freddy alone acting so retarded it was worth watching every night.


This season has no one who is inherently must watch. Most of the jobs that have replaced challenges aren't very interesting to watch. Bam has completely checked out as host so even the confessionals aren't entertaining this time. I think having no fishbucks has really lowered the stakes and made things less interesting and at some point Bam realized how much of a low rent sloppy shop Fishtank is and just stopped caring.

Every season you listed bar S4 had at least 3 weeks total of downtime.
 
I have a theory that everyone's favorite season is their first one they watched live/posted itt about. It's why I think famous house was peak even though many disagree. I went back and watched daily summaries of previous seasons and they just don't hit the same. Neither does current (but I am still enjoying it.)

Do you guys feel the same?

I've been watching since S1 and S3 is my favorite season.

Not for me. I've been here since the literal first day (you can actually see a post by me on the first page of the thread) and S3 is my favorite so far.

Well, technically Bloodgames is my favorite, but that's not a "real" season.

There was a funny thing on why she didn't want to be on was Drake asked if she was fat and JD said no lol.
 
$150k to show up and do 1 hour of hosting for a month is not a bad gig at all for Bam but I'm sure someone got into Bam's ear about the Mr Naked stuff that happened and got him scared to come back and be affiliated with the show. It doesn't look good, considering Bam also interviewed Mr. Naked and was friendly with him. Bam has been trying to rebuild his reputation for years after all the alcohol abuse, rehab, and Jackass fallout. He's been doing a great job, and this Mr. Naked thing is a huge setback for his public relations.

Now, in reality, no one cares about Bam/Mr. Naked cause only maybe 20,000 people watch Fishtank, but it could be a major setback if the right people wanted to clip it and make it look like Bam knew about his past and was cool with this dude.

edit: welp I wrote all of that just to find out Bam is still the host and is just doing something else today lol
