Not really news, we saw him before the shooting jamming a camera (phone?) into an agents face and he was holding it when they went to arrest him...

Most likely scenario in my opinion is they saw the gun, they screamed gun, the gun got taken, but the shooter saw the black blob in the guy's hand...
