This guy claims to have seen a long cylindrical metal tube thing fall from the sky and so he collects it and brings it home. He said it was hot when he initially tried to get it. There is some crude writing on it that's like a messy version of what's written on the Buga Sphere. He claims being near it makes him feel sick and that he got a weird rash on his his leg from it.

Lately his update videos don't even show the object and he's been claiming he doesn't care about views and that's why his updates suck. He wants to get the object into the "right hands" but has no idea who that would be.

It amazes me how technically illiterate the people on Metabunk are.

Certain conventions, like archiving your links using archive.today or using a service to bypass a article paywall (despite le source being a huge part of posts there) are literally never used, which means that almost all the links in old threads are dead. These dumb niggers don't seem to understand how the Internet works.

I've been interested in UFO stuff since the days of listening to Art Bell at night as a kid and freaking myself the fuck out and giving myself nightmares, but always assumed that, while interesting, and just statistically speaking there probably is nonhuman intelligent life somewhere, that doesn't mean it has to be anywhere near us. The 2017 NYT article definitely changed that a bit for me (a long with testimonies from Navy/Air Force/various science military/government contractors in the OP). I've always had the philosophy of being skeptical, but keeping an open mind. There are a ton of grifters in the UFO community, not just the ones that think there's a race of hyperborean white elves on Venus or whatever, but also in the more "empirical" side like ITT, I get the feeling that the grift is strong.
But one of my favorite quotes when it comes to any sort of 'out there' ideas is "bad science goes both ways". Burying your head in the sand and being incurious about shit like the 2004 Tic-Tac or any of the other anomalous shit that's been caught on FLIR to me is just as unproductive as saying that you were mindraped and assraped by the reptiloids from Proxima Centauri. Oh and that mind and assrape experience also ties into Jesus and crystals and buying my self-help course for $2000 a pop.

I'm probably stating the obvious saying all this, I'm not as dug in the trenches on the exact details as threadregulars are, but I find all of this fascinating. What our place in the galaxy/universe is, what/whoever is out there wants from sending probes/whatever the fuck UAPs are, and if their motivations can even be quantified into something humans can understand, if we'll ever see disclosure in my lifetime, etc. I think are all very interesting ideas to think about and hopefully more data will come out. What I most would like to see researched if it's at all possible, is their use of energy. Whatever propulsion systems UAPs use, it clearly is something we don't have the engineering capability to understand. I think economically it presents an interesting question of how do they harness energy, do they have some sort of perpetual energy system to power their UAPs, and is that the key to deep spacefaring? All very interesting to me. but I don't plan on buying any wares a UFOlogist is selling just to find that information out.

There was an X-Files episode "Jose Chungs from Outer Space" that lampooned the state of UFOlogy almost 30 years ago, and not much has changed since it. At some point you may come across evidence of something that seems hard to rationally explain, but the sheer volume of grifters, insane people, and misdirection from federal agents to the extent that you don't even know what it is they're trying to manipulate people into believing make investigation impossible.

(Assuming they are real...) The first thing that comes to mind is the accelerating expansion of the universe. It's a weird observation, implies dark energy or something everywhere, and if it's there, what if there was a way to tap into it? That could explain maneuvers that seemingly require huge, "perpetual" amounts of energy from out of nowhere, although it doesn't explain why UAPs would not be frying the planet by dumping a lot of waste heat energy.

Something more down to Earth hurr hurr would be antimatter. It's a dense source of energy if it can be isolated and contained as a fuel source, and it's confirmed to exist rather than theoretical. Maybe energy requirements are much lower than they appear from technological optimization, and bending space produces effects that merely look like they require a lot of energy.

Faster-than-light travel or space warping may not be required for routine interstellar travel. If you can get close to 1c without being destroyed by dust and atoms in the interstellar medium, the travel times remain at least as long as the speed limit (500 light years ~= 500 years) but the traveler could experience a fraction of that time. A deceleration phase is necessary to come to a complete stop.

YES. She wanted to connect the findings to UFO lore around nuclear tests, but may have found a previously unknown effect of atmospheric nuclear testing.

Funnily enough, President Trump has recently indicated that the US could resume testing... but it's highly likely to be limited to underground tests, or quietly cancelled.

I forgot about that part. I don't know, so I'll make an asspull: Many of these tests were clustered together. For example, during the Operation Dominic series, many tests were 1-2 days apart.

i see the annual nato winter drone flap is underway… i don't believe these are anything but human-made drones, but it's still very notable (and pathetic) that this has been going on since 2019 with nobody managing to properly track or shoot them down. whoever is doing this (probably russia imo) is laughing at us. the belgian air base that they're frequenting this time has american nukes stationed at it, this seems to be a common theme

This is generally why I am in favor of moving our assets back to US controlled spaces. These drones can just fly right into "secure" locations and no one does anything but point and go "Woaaah!". I dont think any european state has the will to do anything anymore but slowly decay.
