Think the tiny heatspreader and the low quality Thermal paste (which you should replace asap on any new device tbh) on the SoC might be to blame...

I noticed this with my launch day Switch 2, which overheat regardless of whether or not it was docked, and my current Switch 2 doesn’t do this...
