They did but it wasn't received well and the game supposedly went thru a rushed development, so Capcom just wrote it off as a failed experiment...

Oh yeah. And it was a Great concept but... Well it just didn't play well. Enemies were spongy and multiplayer didnt have enough gas to make it...
