It was a mediocre remake, imo.

It didn't help that the controls fucking sucked on PC unless you have a DS5 since the firing mode of weapons depends on the dual stage triggers.

I think first 6 months/first holiday season is a decent way of categorizing "launch window". Rift Ashart doesn't meet either of those.
