That explains why Epic failed to compete with steam despite giving their games away for free.

Which would mean sacrificing revenue to offer the discount... That still doesn't change that every publisher besides Epic still uses Steam on PC...

The only people using Ubisoft's launcher are using it because of Ubisoft+, the subscription service. Very, very few will buy anything through it.
