V as in the medic? I don't buy in to the arguement of Portable Ops being non-canon so it's hard for me to see it, given Grey Fox's role in that game.

There is a mod that introduces Grey Fox as a playable soldier, so no.

V is way too old and non-Vietnamese (in certain retcons) for it to work; the theory is less plausible than Chico-->Quiet.
