You are not that far off. I wouldnt say parody, because they do want you to take it seriously but they are trying to "convert" Fallout into this...

I'm planning on using a few mods (like I did with Fallout 4) although for NV it's mostly so I can run the game in ultrawide and at more than 60fps...
