I always associate the name Trixie with the blue triceratops from Toy Story 3. It may not have necessarily been ponies, especially since he seems to have given up on ponies.

I'm a weeaboo and know this topic. He definitely calls himself Trixie after Beatrice from Umineko, the witch that masterminds a mansion murder-mystery style massacre of a wealthy Japanese family on their private family island in the 1980s.
It's a visual novel comprised of 8 episodes where you go through the same basic event of the family being killed off one by one over the course of a night in each episode. The details play out differently each time, and after the 1st or 2nd episode the protagonist is transported to a higher metaphysical plane of existence with Beatrice to engage her in a battle of wits with the island mansion murders as the chessboard they play with, the protagonist's goal being to prove how the murders were committed by a normal human without supernatural powers, and to prove that magic and witches don't exist. Beatrice's goal is to demonstrate the impossibility of any natural explanation and that the murders could only have been committed with magic. If the protagonist wins, everyone survives. If Beatrice wins, everyone dies. (it's actually a lot more convoluted than that but it's been years since I read them and have forgotten many details. it's extremely engaging if you're an autist and retarded bullshit if you're a normie.)
If you've ever played Phoenix Wright, it's actually somewhat similar. Lots of people pointing and shouting evidence at each other to contradict each other's arguments.
I'm a fan of it and it's incredibly cringe that he named himself after Beatrice.

I think he could be naming himself after both Trixie the blue unicorn and Beatrice the Golden Witch. He likes puns and double meanings and references. He dyed his hair blonde, like Beatrice, but also dyed it blue, like Trixie.
His middle name, Deracine, also has two meanings: it was a FromSoft adventure game when you play as a fairy, and it can also mean an uprooted person.

I think this is kind of what Digi, and most weebs, do though. I think he just imprints on a character he thinks looks cool, or looks how he wants people to see him (Beatrice, the criminal mastermind, not Digi, the loser who has no control over the narrative). Like the Christmas lights girl from Tou Hou was another one for him, but does Tou Hou even have actual characters? Or just cool looking game sprites?

Digi's Discord for We Watch Anime. I didn't know he was openly advertising in on his channel or I would've shared the link sooner.
Currently less than 200 members, hardly any conversation happens at all. It's all the same 5 trannies talking to each other about their dysphoria and criticizing other e-celebs.
Digi is also trying to explode into the furry fandom with his newest video

I don't find Digi interesting enough to comb through him posting furry girls or listen to him sperg about "furry anime".
It seems like a really lame attempt to tap into the infinite money pool that is the furry fandom. I don't think becoming a furry is something you do in your early 30's when you have already been aware of the fandom for more than a decade.

Digi's half-assedly trying to enter the furry fandom in the same way he half-assedly tried to get into capeshit a couple years ago; he'll realize his efforts to grift money are futile and quietly abandon his fixation, calling it now.
As someone who does not have the time nor patience to read Umineko but has been spoiled to it anyway, it's worth pointing out that the individual behind Beatrice's true identity could be construed as transgender, but without spoiling anything too much, the issue is a lot more complicated than muh dysphoria. Obviously Digi is too weedbrained to get nuance anymore and simply sees what he wants to see, because the reality of Beatrice's story is super fucked up.

It wasn't particularly long ago, but he went through a phase where he just didn't consume anime, sort of at the tail end of trying and failing to rebrand his channel into being hip hop-focused. He was probably in denial at the time about only being valued for his anime analyses and wasn't trying to completely reverse course quite yet.

For context, the original audio was the result of me talking to a chatbot. There was some weird fucking behavior with it outside this that was somehow both in character and broke the way the site was supposed to work not covered in this cut down version.
EDIT ADDITION:
The "golden witch" is a title held by Beatrice from Umineko, and Umineko Beatrice also goes by "Beato" for short as a nickname. Digi clearly was probably thinking like "trixie" or some shit because 'haha other half of name" but it's tied to a completely different pronunciation of Beatrice. It's not "beatrix" or "bee-trice" type trixie tends to be a nickname form of. The horse connection is possibly a coincidence or an attempt at a failed dual reference.

I know I've said this before but it's still so wild to me a guy who was making $5000 a month making videos about a hobby he loves somehow wasn't satisfied with it. Dude was making 60k a year with no higher education doing something he was passionate about something very few people actually get to do and just thought "nah, I'm going to go be drug addict and live in a trailer".
