I hadn’t either, and I’ve been using Brave since 2019. But now I’ve been getting them constantly for the last 3 days.

I was watching YouTube on Brave today. Nothing. Signed in as usual. Personally I'm taking a wait and see approach. Google is making a fancy mouse...
