i like half-life 2 visually and story-wise but it's too gritty to be half-life, it forces you to wait through dialogue more than the first game...

Remember it took the better part of 4 years for them to finish their reimagining of Xen AND make a developer museum about it as a ego stroking...

They huffed their own farts too much. Mentioning this to them will get you at best a response stating that they had a vision for Xen they couldn't...
