It's not a kids show, it's a family show. It has deep psychological sucker punches for the adults watching. If you had kids you'd know the difference.

It goes deep into showing how the adults are feeling from the kids perspective, and there's a lot of hidden dark moments. During one of the kindergarten episodes one of the girls roleplayer having a premature baby that had to stay in a tank at the hospital, and how badly the mom wished she could stay by the baby. It's all done lightheartedly and funny, but if you actually understand what's going on there's a lot of "holy shit" moments.
There's and episode where the dad and his younger brother are playing racket ball and he's just mopping the floor with his brother, going on about "big brothers always win", and you can clearly see the brother being upset about how he's being treated. Bluey decides to "encourage" her dad to lose while Bingo cheers up the brother and fires him up with her faith in him, leading to a complete reversal in the rematch.
