personally, the npc recruitment system was the most interesting part of that game and i had myself a fairly large suite of characters to choose...

happens all the time, dice sweden was notorious for that. they don't usually use it for PR tho... what killed it was ubisoft trying to be woke...

Its a fine idea they just undermined it in so many ways. Too many characters have no downside so the whole class based on job thing is irrelevant...

People were so hyped too, people assumed it would have rougelike elements or at least be a real life pokemon, which is obviously the clear option...
