iirc the beginning is harder because then you're literally just a filthy peasant who needs to git gud. should get easier/more manageable later one.

The combat system takes a lot to get used to and even then you learn pretty quickly you're can't really solo multiple people like it's nothing...

I thought this when the game came out, bought and played some of it, got super annoyed and put it down forever. Wonder if I was just mad cause bad.

You HAVE to go to Captain Bernard in Rattay and train with him. Think of it as being like an autistic real Medieval life sim and play accordingly...
