You wake up hungover but as soon as you have a drink you start to feel better.

It's more that being hungover becomes your default state of sobriety so your more accustomed to dealing with it.

There are definitely people who dont get hangovers. My mom has never had one (she says). Hes mentally ill. I imagine his brain IS that different...
