I think that's far from an uncommon thing with a lot of works of the time and even now. Lessons are briefly unlearned to provide the behaviour...

This is why even episodic shows for kids should have some kind of a bible, just like you'd have character models, and some kind of chief editor...

That honestly would have made more sense if the order of episodes has been rearranged.
